Arlène is the new housekeeper. She works together with Kai, the main antagonist, and the new owner of the Anubis House along with Kai. (they bought the house from Victor in Het Huis Anubis Series Finale.). Arlène and Kai are trying to bring Ewan, Kai's beloved brother and Arlène's husband, back to life.

Arlène is the new owner of the house, along with Kai. She sends the five an invitation to live in the house. She welcomes the five as they arrive one by one. Arlène immediately informs Kai via a secret telephone that two of the five have already arrived. She shows Anna the bathroom and lets her know where Anna can find her eye drops and low beam in front of her eyes. The next morning she slaps Marcel lightly on the fingers after throwing some sambal over Sterre's food (Marcel means well). She ensures that Sterre gets a new bowl. When Anastasia asks where the pool is, she explains that they don't have a pool and that she better get ready to go to school.
She then brings Kai coffee and explains that she gave the youngsters everything. Towards evening, when Arlène visits Kai in the library in the house, he announces that they cannot afford to lose one of the five youngsters, after which she promises him to keep a closer eye on the Five. At dessert Arlène hands Pim and Marcel a piece of paper, saying that if they want anything else, they can write it down and she will take care of it.
At supper she listens to Ana and asks Sterre if everything is alright with her. Arlène tells Sterre that if there is anything, she can always contact her.
When she hears Sterre talking on the phone that she wants to go home, she immediately reports this to Kai on the secret phone in the library (this library is the space behind the door that Pim and Marcel are investigating). She promises Kai that she will make sure Sterre stays. In the morning she tells Sterre that she missed her breakfast. Sterre replies that she overslept. She gives Sterre her lunch and tells her again that she can always say something if there is something wrong.
She investigates the boys' room and discovers that Pim has collected fingerprints and takes them with her. In the attic, which you can reach by elevator, she sees Ewan for the first time, who is a kind of ghost at the moment. Arlène talks about the fact that Kai is busy calculating the recesses to rid the Five of their hypersensitive senses. If the additions succeed, she can finally hug him again, and they can be husband and wife again. She explains to Kai that she destroyed the fingerprints that Pim had.
When the phone rings and Raf says it will be his father, she will eavesdrop. She gives Kai a report of the five youngsters. She explains that Pim is way too curious, but says she's watching him, and that she can't get a grip on Sterre, saying she thinks she's homesick. In the morning she receives a call from Raphael's father. Mnr. Salemons asks how his son is doing, to which Arlène says she is watching that Raf gets his studies every day. When Arlène enters the girls' room and sees Sterre's suitcases, she asks if Sterre is going somewhere. Sterre quickly makes up an excuse, after which Arlène sends Sterre to school.
She gets the order from Kai to keep the youngsters upstairs tonight, so that they can consult in peace. In the library of the house, all the dark druids gather to hear the news from Kai. The next day she tries to talk to Sterre, at his request, but she is not told. Eventually Arlène gives up, but she does become suspicious.
Arlène informs Kai that Pim has been looking for a book about druids at school. Arlène, like Kai, is difficult on Hubertus because of this incident. A few minutes later, Arlène checks the girls' room. When she hears from Ana in the morning that Sterre is not well (this is an excuse) she goes to see Sterre.
Kai calls Arlène to her and asks that she collect some special ingredients (for the incorporation of Anastasia).
Arlène is a bit tricky when she discovers that Lexie wants to stay for dinner. She is a bit worried when Sterre, Pim and Marcel are not home yet. She brings Kai report on Lexie, Pim and Sterre. She is told by Hubertus that he is keeping a close eye on Leopold. She reports this to Kai. When Arlène enters the kitchen, she accidentally scatters rowan berries. Pim finds these berries. In the girls' room, she searches Lexie's clothes. Ana catches her, to which she says she was cleaning up.
Arlène informs Kai that one of Hubertus toads is missing (Marcel took it with him). Arène goes to the girls' room and asks where Sterre is. A few minutes later Sterre comes in. The woman asks where she was and Sterre quickly makes up an excuse. She informs Kai that the book about the five has disappeared from the school library. Kai lets her know that he wants Hubertus to find out all about Leopold. Kai asks her about the missing book, to which she says the book has not yet been found.
Arlène calls Hubertus to ask if Pim and Sterre are already at school. She is instructed by Kai to find Pim and Sterre. She is also ordered to keep looking for Leopold. Kai explains to her that the youngsters should not find out that they are the 'five' as they need their hypersensitive senses to save Ewan. Arlène finds the letter from Leopold that he wrote for Pim and Sterre on the stairs, which Pim lost just before. Arlène lets Kai read the letter, to which Kai says that Pim and Sterre already know too much. He also lets her know that for every ritual there is a counter-ritual.
Arlène hears the phone ring and asks Pim who was on the line. Pim makes up an excuse, saying it was someone wrongly connected. She keeps Pim busy, but eventually he manages to escape. She lets Kai know that Pim and Sterre have been found. She is told by him that the next incorporation is coming.
She is told by Mr. Salomons that he wants Raf to stay away from musical auditions. She reassures him. She lets Kai know that Pim and Sterre are not allowed to leave the house. Kai asks what Raf's father was doing in the house. She replies that he wanted to know whether or not Raf is participating in the musical.
She goes into the bathroom and finds Pim there and asks what he is doing there, he makes up an excuse. She is told by Kai that she must collect the ingredients for Raf's digestion brew. She informs Kai that Sterre and Pim have left. He says to call Hubertus. She is instructed by Kai to swap Raphael's headphones now that Raphael's incorporation concoction is ready. She changes Raf's headphones.
She sees Pim and Sterre coming home and asks why they keep leaving at the most strange times. The two friends quickly come up with something. After Raf's headphones are smeared with the digestion brew, she changes them again, just as Raphael is taking a shower, but is almost caught. Sterre understands her when she comes out with the headphones and quickly runs away.
Arlène thinks that the young people deserve a party, on which they make the suggestions.
She lets Kai know that Hubertus has Leopold. When she hears Sterre talking, she asks who she was talking to. She informs Kai about Vince. Kai gives her a sleeping aid for Raphael. She drops the drug into Raphael's lemonade. When Sterre speaks to Raphael about the fact that he is so tired, she sends Sterre away. She puts herb (oak leaf and fruit) under Raf's pillow. Shortly after, she locks the other in the living room. She and Kai go through the portal.
She lets Kai know that Pim and Sterre think Hubertus has the book. Arlène lets Mr. Berkelaar inside the house and let him know that Kai wants to speak to him immediately.
When she wants to go get the book for Kai, she is told by Hubertus that the book has disappeared, so they start looking together. After some time searching, she decides that Hubertus should better tell Kai that he has lost the book.
Arlène understands Hubertus when he demands from Pim that he return the book. She slaps Hubertus, saying that they need the youngsters to bring Ewan back to life.
Kai once again urges her to get the book back. When she asks what Kai is looking for, he explains that he has lost the letter for Hubertus. Kai realizes someone must have been inside, but Arlène says that's impossible.
She lets Kai know that Hubertus is on his way. She informs Kai of the fact that Pim and Sterre know about the partitions. Kai says there is nothing they can do but remain nice and that she must prepare for Neville's incorporation. She gets some herbs from the forest and for the last necessary herbs she goes to the jeweler's wife. She gets this from her, but Pim manages to steal it, but she can steal the herbs back a little later.
She serves Pim and Marcel cake. In the evening she pours Kai's mixture into Marcel's sambal (for his incorporation) and mixes it. When Ana wants to throw away Marcel's pancakes, she stops Ana. She informs Kai that Marcel has received the drug. Kai gives her a sleeping aid for Pim and Sterre with which to spray the two. Later that evening she enters the boys' room and sprays Pim and Sterre with the sleeping aid, after which she puts the herbs under Marcel's pillow. She lures him with candy to the stone circle, after which she, along with the other druids, takes away Marcel's hypersensitive sense.
Arlène informs Hubertus over the telephone that the book is at one of the points of the stone circle. She calls him a few minutes later to inform Hubertus that Pim and Sterre are at school.
Arlène sees it when Pim is grabbing some food from all the cupboards. When she speaks to him, Pim makes up that he should return books to the school library. Shortly afterwards, Arlène informs Kai that Pim is up to something. She in turn is told by Kai that Pim is the next to be recruited.
She gets a piece of paper from Kai with the exact location of the stone circle point. She discovers the secret space under the stage. Arlène tries to convince Pim and Sterre to get out of their hiding places, but the two stay where they are hiding. Arlène tells Hubertus and Witteke about the secret space. Shortly afterwards she hears Pim and Sterre in the hallway. She and Hubertus pursue the two. She and Hubertus arrive at Leopold's house. After some searching she discovers the hidden cellar in Leopold's house.
She lures Pim through the portal towards the stone circle, using a flower. Once there, Pim comes to by the beep of his watch, but Kai brings him back into his trance. A few minutes later, along with the other dark druids, she takes Pim's hypersensitive sense.
She catches Sterre in Kai's library, after Sterre broke in there earlier. She is holding Sterre in the library. She sees Pim in the house and tries to send him away when he asks about Sterre. She tells him (this is not true) that Sterre is with her parents. A little later she goes back into the library with tea and a white cloth for Sterre. She then guides Sterre together with Kai towards the portal and the stone circle. When Sterre's incorporation fails, Arlène disappears just like the other dark druids.
